In order to accelerate large-scale deployment of Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) through policy and regulatory action globally, the Regulatory Assistance Project (RAP) – in partnership with Integrate to Zero – is organizing a series of webinars on “Challenges and Solutions for DER Integration” in strategic electricity markets.

Given ongoing efforts in several African power systems to integrate and support DERs, and the immense potential of DERs across the continent, the African Forum for Utility Regulators (AFUR) believes that there is substantial value in gaining lessons from international experience. Furthermore, knowledge exchange amongst African countries to share our own insights about bottlenecks and enablers is also crucial to stronger future planning and
regulatory action in all jurisdictions.
