The AFUR Enhanced Mini Grid Tariff Tool developed together with AMDA with support of UKAid through the Transforming Energy Access (TEA) program is designed to support regulators and policymakers to do various tariff related calculations. This includes, among other, the design of tariffs, mini grid valuations, depreciation method comparisons and calculations on how grid arrivals impact tariffs. The Microsoft Excel based tool ensures country and case tailored calculations and hence insights into tariff designs and helps to set financially feasible tariff for mini-grid developments.
