A combination of factors, including emerging distributed technologies, shifting end-user needs, priorities, evolving national government demands, etc. are driving significant changes in the provision and consumption of Utility services across the African continent. The African Forum for Utility Regulators (AFUR) has dedicated itself to understanding the above-changing scenarios in the Water & Sanitation, Telecommunications, Transport, and Energy industries Regulation to fulfill its Vision of “being the preferred forum for effective harmonization of Utility Regulation across the African Continent”

With the foregoing, I am pleased to inform you that AFUR has developed its 2024-28 Strategic Plan that outlines the future of Utility Regulation in Africa. This strategy identifies the necessary projects, capacity, skills, and funding for AFUR to achieve its objectives.
